Keep the supply form explicit

A single rotating wire and a stranded rotating cable cannot be identified by diameter alone. Include the catalog category, drawing revision, working length and end geometry in the inquiry. Specify which features are supplied finished and which remain for downstream assembly.

Build an inspection brief with the drawing

List dimensional tolerance, surface condition, cleanliness, packaging and traceability needs. Define functional tests for the supplied component. Where a requested dimension is absent from the brochure, submit it for assessment rather than interpolating between catalog entries.

Common questions

Is an endoscope steering cable the same as a guidewire core?

No. Keep the component category and function distinct, and use the relevant drawing and product page.

Does an industrial wire-rope range apply here?

No. Medical-component dimensions are reviewed against the relevant brochure entry and agreed drawing.
